I’m with Cohen… beautifully written.

Listening to Dylan again today he reminds me of the original mountain bluegrass singers of the Blue Ridge mountains.

Beautifully written. Dylan to you is Cohen to me, both brilliant. Yell out if you come through Christchurch and I’ll shout you a coffee, perhaps swap some nomadic stories. Good luck with the packing. 😁

Thank you James yes Cohen is also brilliant. Looking forward to some nomadic yarns over grounds :-)

Where are you located at the moment? I moved to the Wairarapa from Auckland eight years ago, and it’s the best thing I ever did.

The beaches are at least 40 minutes away, which is slightly inconvenient, but at least there’s no sewerage in the water! The rivers are beautiful, but sadly there’s toxic algae everywhere.

There are a couple of lavender farms though! And plenty of vineyards :)

Hi Angela, I’m in Auckland now - I hear you! I loved the Martinborough wine festival last year. About the water quality – quite a big deal considering our clean green reputation!

I hear you and applaud your spirit 👏👍 I have been a home-owner since my early 20's until I sold up to be a nomad for a few years - then the insecurity of renting got to me & I bought a smaller house with a smaller garden so I could still wander but no more having to move all my "stuff" at the whim of some landlord for some random reason 🤷 and when I am "home" I harvest the fruit & vege & catch up on pruning & weeding & having a flush toilet & water from the tap on tap so to speak, as I can spend days/weeks tent/car camping in my SUV, or walking into the backcountry with a backpack & small tent. I could envy your international travel & range of life skills, but Aotearoa beach & bush & lakes & rivers & mountains feed my soul & for some reason travel overseas has never really overcome the need to visit my larger "home" 🤷 Hope you have a good (unexpected) journey until your next time being settled 🫂

Thanks for your kind encouragement, Cindy. My first year out I rented my house to a friend and came home to a scene of destruction. How do people blow up microwaves? I rented it out again for my next couple of years thinking I would be back but that was before I went to New Zealand and once here I couldn’t imagine living in Atlanta again. So I bought a lifestyle block in New Zealand and learned to love the late evenings watering trees and having my Horse follow me in the paddocks while I grubbed thistles. Good dirt is important! So this is the first time I’ve packed everything up with no direction Home :-)
